If you belong to the category of digital nomads or if you want to spend some time in Ikaria working on your own project, the Ikaria Center offers you affordable accommodation, free access to a car for your explorations on the island, co-working space and participation in indoor and outdoor activities. The accommodation and work facilities are located in an organized building complex, in a wooded area on a hillside, approximately 2 Km from the sea.

Accommodation

Each of our guests has his own private 20m2 room in our guesthouse. You do not share your room with other guests you do not know in advance. You can share your room with a friend who is traveling with you, for an additional cost as mentioned below. All rooms have heating, a private bathroom, a small kitchenette and can accommodate up to two people. High-speed Internet is available in the rooms and in all areas of the facility, both indoor and outdoor

The Center’s guesthouse is located right next to the course / work area, in a quiet mountainous location, not far from the sea. We are located in a magical spot on the island, 1.5 km away from the settlement of Arethousa and 3 km from the seaside Karavostamo, in direct contact with the natural environment.

The view of the sea and the mountain, as well as the starry sky on clear nights, is enchanting. You will experience the peace and relaxation that direct contact with nature gives to a person’s everyday life. The common areas of the facilities help contact with other guests, as well as the isolation of someone who wishes to be alone for some hours, thus supporting the development of a healthy sociability among the guests.

Where exactly is Ikarian Centre located

What can I find in the workspace?

The workplaces are equipped with printers, copiers, scanners, computers, white boards and everything else necessary for a online work and group meetings. After all, language courses are organized all year round at our premises.

Do I have to rend a car?

If you participate from April to end of November, you do not have to rend a car, as we take care for basic transport of our guests. See more details about if you have to rend a car here If you come in winter (January – end of March) you will have an automatic car at your disposal shared with other tenants. If you come in August, you must come with your own vehicle.

Reservation

Check availability and submit your reservation using the form below. No payment is made through the booking process, and we will not ask you for your credit card number. After submitting the booking form you will need to pay 210€ to the bank account we will indicate via email. The remaining must be paid on arrival. No refunds are given in case of cancellation. In October – November of each year, accommodation at the Center’s guesthouse is combined with olive picking, if there is olive production.

For bookings during August: No activities, breakfasts, meals, or transportation are offered from July 27th to September 7th of each year. If you wish to book accommodation during this period, you will need to rent a car. You must also pay the full amount of the reservation 60 days prior to your arrival. No refunds will be given if you cancel within 60 days of your arrival.

Deposits are non-refundable if you cancel your reservation for any reason, but you can join the program the same or the following year.
